Last year, Halle was terrified of this turkey- I still think she's a little unsure, but she spent the rest of the afternoon pointing at it and saying "turkey!"

Hilarious
SURPRISE!
This weekend, my mom flew in to surprise my older brother for his 30th Birthday! It was a great surprise-(I had to tell many lies to make it all work out according to plan) and a great visit, but went by too fast! We had a great time celebrating Quinn's 30 years- we missed our dad and Brian as he was out of town. Quinn's request for his birthday dinner was crab legs- and that's exactly what he got!!

Birthday party!

Today Brian took all of Halle's books out and counted them- 80! Yes, our one year old has 80 books and loves them more every day! We took her to the park tonight and she kept saying, "book" it's like she can't get enough of them! Oh yes and I had the mess to clean up!

Water Baby
Saturday was our first swim lesson! I was looking forward to it all week and was excited to see how Halle would like the pool. She's not much for sitting in water, but I want her to learn early how to swim. She did better than I thought, and surprisingly since our lesson has enjoyed bath time much more. The water was FREEZING- which was the only bad part. She was shivering after about 30 minutes so bad that we got out of the pool 10 minutes before the lesson was over. She kept saying, "NO" with a quivering lip and I did not want her to have a negative experience. This week Brian will take her on his own since I'll be out of town. I'm excited for him to have some good Daddy/Daughter time!

My precious

Today I subbed for a kindergarten classroom. My neighbor-who is the regular teacher- was sick and so I filled in. I was able to take Halle to the daycare center located a few rooms away from where I was. I felt like I was away from her forever! I could not wait to see her little face. My heart melted when she ran to me. There's just nothing like being a mom! Today was a great chance for me to get my feet wet again with teaching, but also made me thank God so much that my job is at home now with my precious girl!
Oh and this is what happens with she eats blueberries!
