Girls, girls, girls

All around my house is girls! Our two girls are keeping us busy! Thankfully, the kids and I survived last week alone without Brian as he was on a Missions Trip in NYC. We are so glad to have him back. We need a man in the house! The girls love their daddy and it's so fun to watch them interact with him. Tomorrow I leave with the girls to head to Chicago to visit my family. We're so excited, I just hope I survive the flight with the 2 by myself! Here's a little bit of what's been going on at our house with the girls!

Spring is here!

We've been loving the spring weather here- well sometimes it's actually more like a northern summer. On Sunday it was low 70's so we took a picnic to the beach. Halle was so excited. She went right down to the water to throw her sand in. Lily and I just relaxed on a blanket and watched. It was so nice to have a family outing with it being so warm out. We will enjoy the weather while we can before it becomes too hot to stand!

Halle has been so busy lately playing Mommy- I'll turn around and she'll be changing a diaper or giving one a bath. Here I caught her in action...

And our sweet baby...

Happy Birthday C.V.

This weekend we traveled to Louisiana for Brian's dad's surprise 70th Birthday party. We had been planning this for many months and the day finally arrived. He was so surprised and everything turned our great. Surprises are so fun! Here you can see him!

Brian's mom and sister did so much work preparing for the party and had such nice displays of his life- and we brought the cake!

It was a great weekend and we were so glad we were able to be there for the big surprise. Even though his real birthday is still days away, Happy Birthday C.V.!

Cowboys

On Friday some friends came to visit us from Florida, so we took them to the new Cowboys stadium for a tour. Neither Brian or I are Cowboy fans, and we are in the thick of Cowboy territory, but the tour was great and it is the most amazing facility! We got to tour many different floors- most of it feels like a hotel and not a stadium. Unfortunately, there were preparing for a Monster Truck Show so the field wasn't on and we missed being able to go out on it. But we got to see the locker room and the largest HD screen in the world- as you can see is huge!
