Turkey time

Last year, Halle was terrified of this turkey- I still think she's a little unsure, but she spent the rest of the afternoon pointing at it and saying "turkey!"

Hilarious

If you go to yearbookyourself.com, you can upload your picture and see what you would look like in the 50's-90's. I think I like the 90's the best- the big hair. Good thing I graduated in 2000!

SURPRISE!

This weekend, my mom flew in to surprise my older brother for his 30th Birthday! It was a great surprise-(I had to tell many lies to make it all work out according to plan) and a great visit, but went by too fast! We had a great time celebrating Quinn's 30 years- we missed our dad and Brian as he was out of town. Quinn's request for his birthday dinner was crab legs- and that's exactly what he got!!

Birthday party!

Today Brian took all of Halle's books out and counted them- 80! Yes, our one year old has 80 books and loves them more every day! We took her to the park tonight and she kept saying, "book" it's like she can't get enough of them! Oh yes and I had the mess to clean up!

Water Baby

Saturday was our first swim lesson! I was looking forward to it all week and was excited to see how Halle would like the pool. She's not much for sitting in water, but I want her to learn early how to swim. She did better than I thought, and surprisingly since our lesson has enjoyed bath time much more. The water was FREEZING- which was the only bad part. She was shivering after about 30 minutes so bad that we got out of the pool 10 minutes before the lesson was over. She kept saying, "NO" with a quivering lip and I did not want her to have a negative experience. This week Brian will take her on his own since I'll be out of town. I'm excited for him to have some good Daddy/Daughter time!

ABC's

The after-bath

I just couldn't resist taking pictures of her wearing this robe! Hopefully she'll never know I posted pictures of her bum!

My precious

Today I subbed for a kindergarten classroom. My neighbor-who is the regular teacher- was sick and so I filled in. I was able to take Halle to the daycare center located a few rooms away from where I was. I felt like I was away from her forever! I could not wait to see her little face. My heart melted when she ran to me. There's just nothing like being a mom! Today was a great chance for me to get my feet wet again with teaching, but also made me thank God so much that my job is at home now with my precious girl!

Oh and this is what happens with she eats blueberries!

15 months and up to no good...

Today Halle is 15 months old. This morning when we walked in her room we saw this...

She had thoroughly taken each wipe out of her wipes container and thrown them on the floor. Now, usually we move the wipe warmer when we put her in her crib, but tired mom last night must have forgot. It's not COMPLETELY her fault. I think she was proud.

Lots of Bradfords

This weekend, Brian's parents were able to come and visit. It's crazy that we've had so many visitors in such a short amount of time here! We had lots of fun and Halle enjoyed hanging with her Mamaw and Papaw. We spent lots of time playing, took a boat ride on the Kentucky River, did some shopping, and went back to Shaker Village.

It's just me and you kid

Halle and I experienced our first adventure this week! We were able to make a last minute trip to my parents house for the week while Brian was doing some traveling and working. We drove up there with my parents- a long 7 hour drive and we flew back home. I was so nervous to fly with her- even though it was her 3rd flight- but I was alone, and she's much older this time. Thank you to all the prayers, it could not have gone more smooth! She slept from take-off until touchdown, and every other detail was perfect. We were glad to be home to see "daddy," but loved our time with Nana, Papa, and Kelsey of course. Here's my little one and me...

Yes, I know, we look nothing alike- she's all Brian!

Words, words, and more words

I was trying to catch a glimpse of what it's like to listen to Halle talking. She is quite the jabber! It seems like each day she comes up with something new to say. It's so fun to hear her echo me and repeat words that we say.

Kentucky Memories

Another set of visitors came to our new home this weekend! My parents were able to come and spend some time with us. We took them to Shaker Village, a big tourist attraction close by our house. Halle was able to pet her first farm animals! She saw a lot of horses, a donkey, and her favorite, a goat- which she called- "goggy!" It must have looked like a dog to her. His name was Sir Arthur!

And Halle did lots of playing...
