10 months and girls night

Halle is officially 10 months old! I can't believe it! She's still working on walking, but hasn't taken off yet!

Last night I went to a BeautiControl/Jewelry party with some friends. It was a great night away and as you can see we did all sorts of spa treatments including a lip peel. We had lots of fun!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

This was right before Halle realized that she did not like the Easter bunny- before she started screaming...

I had lots of fun dressing Halle up for Easter. She was too cute! She loved tapping her shoes on the kitchen floor. Girls are so much fun!

Let me out!

This is what I saw when I opened Halle's door this afternoon...

Yes, she was standing up! I guess it's time to lower that mattress!

And here she is entertaining herself with the laundry basket. I wonder if she'll want to help me fold someday?

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Today you should be wearing green! Well actually tomorrow, but I'm assuming most people will read this on March 17. Halle wore her new St. Patty's Day dress (from Grandma and Grandpa) to church on Sunday.

In the sun, her hair has been looking red, so she for sure will look like an Irish girl! My friend told me the other day that she heard on the Today Show that in 100 years redheads will become extinct if they don't start re-producing. WHAT??!! That is crazy- and talk about the pressure. Geez! So hopefully she's a red head and
I'll feel like I've done my duty to pass it on.

My parents came this weekend and it was very fun to have them here. It was such a quick trip but they brought Halle her first puzzle and we played at the student center and of course Halle enjoyed playing with her Aunt Kelsey-(that's their dog- they formed a tight bond when Halle realized she could feed Kelsey from her high chair.)

And most exciting- Halle is on the brink of walking. She's taken many steps on her own- she's almost there- very brave- only one battle wound so far- a small black eye- the table got in her way. :( I have mixed emotions- I'm so excited, but I don't want her to grow up!

Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun

I love today! The sun is out and the temperature is above 50 degrees! Brian came home for lunch and we took Halle and walked to a little local restaurant. Then I took Halle around since the sun felt so good! We are ready for spring!

And then we played!!

Girl time

Those are a few attempts of me taking of picture of Halle and I and her being completely uninterested. This week, Halle and I have been on our own. Brian has been on a missions trip, so despite my many attempts to make plans to go somewhere, we've been living it up in MarVegas! We've had a great week together, just having mommy-daughter time. We are very anxious for Brian to come home though! Here's a look at what we got accomplished this week:

1. Lunch at Mi Pueblo with friends after church
2. Grocery shopping
3. Trip to Lowe's
4. Lunch at Bob Evan's with friends
5. Dinner at Applebee's with friends
6. Mommy had a craft night with her friend, Rachel-we made coasters out of floor tiles.
7. We went to Castleton with friends Amie and Jaxon- Halle loved the play place and we successfully spent all day there and spent only $20!
8. Mom read a book
9. We played with puzzles at the library
10. Mom watched 3 girl movies
11. Bathrooms and floors were cleaned
12. All laundry was done
13. Keetha came to play!
14. More craft time
15. Lots of book time
16. And lots of missing daddy!

As you can see- I didn't do a lot of cooking- and did a lot of relaxing at night!

Here's Halle eating lunch- she loves to dance!

Giggle girl

Tonight I discovered Halle giggling at me when I made a certain noise. It just melts your heart!!

Here's Halle and her friend Jaxon cheering for IWU against Taylor (we watched on TV- they lost)

Some mommy and daddy time

Some pictures we took on our walk today on campus

We want spring! We want....

I saw this headband at Target today, put it on Halle, and said- "Yep I think we need this!" So we came home, stripped her down and had a photo shoot. I don't like them as well as my black and whites, but I had to do these in color. She was such a good girl and didn't even notice the obnoxious ornaments on her head. Isn't she the perfect little flower. We're ready for spring!
