We've just returned from all of our travels! Wow, it feels good to be home!! Halle gets cuter everyday. I spend a lot of time sitting with the camera trying to get her to smile. She is precious! But she hasn't pooped in 5 days- we've tried all the remedies! They don't work! Poor thing! Any ideas??

If she's still getting breastmilk, don't worry unless she acts like it's bothering her. Sarah went 7 days, then pooped 7 times in one day!! It's not unusual with BF babies to go a few days. So cute!!!

I got my entire room moved today - - - all in one day!!! Whoooo Hoooo!!!
My husband, Vickie Conrad, and Steve Conrad all helped me in the morning to get the heavy stuff moved, then we went to lunch and after lunch I went back and organized - - - didn't leave to go home until 7:30, BUT ITS DONE!!!!

I had a friend who swore by putting her kids in a squatting position w/ their back against her chest and patting their bottom (some needed it a bit harder than others). She swore this would help get rid of the gas and make them poop. It didn't work with Lilly and definitely didn't work with Katy. Katy frequently went at least 5 days w/o going, and SCREAMED EVERY NIGHT! After 11 months (many were spent convincing the dr), he sent us to a Pediatric GI Specialist. That dr put her on Miralax (which by the way is 98% plastic they were putting into my child - she might as well have chewed on and swallowed her toys!), but it worked, so we were happy.
There are methods like prune juice, (not apple juice), pear juice, etc. Not sure I can help a whole lot, but...if you want to chat, call me!
Shannon, I THOUGHT of prune juice myself, but didn't know if it would be too harsh for a little baby.
It works GREAT for me after surgeries etc.
If I was going to try it with Halle, I'd dilute it with water and only give her an ounce or so at one time.
gerber has baby apple-prune juice.
maybe that wouldn't be as harsh
